
Jitka Palmer was born in Czechoslovakia and grew up in Brno, Moravia. In 1985 she moved to London and studied ceramics at Croydon College of Art & Design. For 10 years she has worked as a freelance artist, exhibiting both in England and abroad. In 1995 she returned to the Czech replubic for 3 years, teaching English and anatomy and morphology for artists, as well as drawing and painting. In 1998 she moved back to Britain and started a new studio in Bristol.
At present she works both in clay and on paper, combining drawing skills, with knowledge of human anatomy and clay technology.
